If the lightbulb says "60W" on it, that's how much it uses. If the hoover says "2400W" on it, that's how much it uses. The devices these things are useful for are things like TVs, amplifiers, PCs that change consumption based on usage.0 -
The ratings stated on products are maximums.In use most items use less.As an example my router is rated at 12 watts but in use consumes 6.7 watts.A radio rated at 4 watts that uses 1.6 watts in use and a washing machine rated at over 2000 watts that uses between 2000 and 5 watts depending on what is is doing at any given time.0
