hp netbook advice please

Hi all,

I purchased today through a special price at Costco a HP mini 110-1125sa. It was reduced as the seal had been broken and they are unable to sell as new?

Anyway whilst setting this up i put the battery in and it is enormous!!! It sticks out about 1.5 inches underneath the netbook so doesn't sit flat on a surface and elevates the the back of the key pad. I think it looks awful! Are they supposed to do this? I've looked at hp website and the replacement battery number it has on the this battery doesn't even come up. It won't even fit in the sleeve that i got with it.

Please help - am i overeacting or should they sit flush with unit?

Maybe you got a bigger (more expensive) battery - does it have any mAh numbers on it (think the 6 cell one is around 4400 mAh, standard one will be around 1/2 that).

1.5 inches, your netbook will look like the leaning tower of Pisa :eek:

All batteries on netbooks will elevate them slightly but if its 1.5 inches it almost sounds like you have a 9 cell battery.
