tawny: The difference is that an Irish researcher will be better qualified to answer questions marked as being of Irish content (who won the Belfast Derby in '98, for example, or who was the 15th Earl of Cork). That's the theory at least; in practice, Irish flagged questions are just that: flagged. They appear in the same list as the rest of the questions.

Well done! I applied a few months ago and got rejected
Not sure why, I enjoyed doing the test and thought I did ok at the questions. It was just after that when they stopped uk applications (only to start them again afterwards!) so perhaps they'd had loads of applications and my chances were reduced?! make myself feel better!!
