Quick update for those who were wondering whatever happened to my AQA application (I don't think any of you were, but heck). They received my contract this morning, and I've got my starter pack! Just have to wait for my senior to log into Yahoo and I can arrange a time to start. Whee.
If any other AQA'ers are around, add me to your Yahoo if you want to: I'm UnderscoreTwo9A.

Well done Two! I missed the last time in July when they were looking for researchers (kept thinking I'd apply tomorrow!) so keep checking back! Let me know if you hear anything...
Good luck with answering all those questions... "How long is a piece of string?"

Ah, I thought you meant those gits at the exam board.
Looks like nice work if you can get it - good on ya. :T0 -

pavlov: I've probably posted about this elsewhere, but it's quite a simple process. You get tested to see if you can answer a few questions (offline), then if you pass, you're hired and can answer questions online.
Sounds simple, but the questions can be entirely random. One of the ones I got in the test was "solve this anagram", of 30 letters! I got nowhere, but it didn't seem to affect my chances in the end

Hello Two9A,
Just wanted to know how much roughly per hour you get and how many questions you have to answer per day? as my partner is looking to do some parttime work form home.
Many thanks for any help given."I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre

Warriorsith: Pay is performance-based, 30p a question. With some time, I'm told I can get the average time-to-answer down to 3 or so minutes, which adds up to a healthy £6/hr.
There's no particular minimum on questions answered, but there are certain ratios that have to be obeyed, like the ratio of easy:hard questions, and the number of answers:skipped questions. Apart from that, it's as little or as much as you like.
Hope that helps.Debts (26.3% remaining) - CC/BARC: [strike]2058[/strike] 100.00 @0%; CC/MBNA: [strike]1877.75[/strike] 0.00; Loan/SLC: [strike]10000[/strike] 7901.84 @1.5%; Loan/Per: [strike]1500[/strike] 0.00; Loan/HX: [strike]15000[/strike] 0.00

It's a bit puzzling that they only have vacancies in 3 countries - while I can understand the time difference thing with Australia/New Zealand, surely it shouldn't make any difference with an online site whether someone's in Ireland or the UK?0
