new 50" samsung will not turn on, help!!

I purchased on Friday, collected on Saturday and a friend installed for me yesterday my new 50" Samsung Plasma tv. All worked great and kids loved the new telly.

Got up this morning and tried to turn the telly on and nothing! the power light is on but whenever you press a channel number or volumn it turns the power off!

does anyone know what I have done wrong? the shop I bought it from is closed today so we have this huge telly in the lounge with good movies on for the kids today and we have a blank screen.

Help much appreciated.:(

There are only 2 parts (as such) to televisions these days, the power supply and the mainboard.

Either one of those two could have failed to give the result you are getting, so you aren't fixing it yourself.

As far as getting it rectified, just get the shop to give you a new set as it is only a few days old.

Tried turning on via the tv? (assuming your trying to use the remote, else try that obviously)
