It really smells - any remedies or is it a sign of something else?

It might be separate from the neutering and not caused by it, it just occured at roughly the same time. It could be a sign of rotten teeth or gums, best to take him to the vets to get his oral health checked outYou can get dog treats which are minty flavoured to help freshen the breath too, or Dentastix which apparently work something like a toothbrush I think? Best to take him for a checkup just to be sure
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -
has he just been neutered? If so has his diet changed / reduced, and is he drinking enough? There is nothing about being neutered per se that should change his breath, but if he is under the weather, off his food, or dehydrated, that may be a factor.0

Really really bad breath normally means they have gum disease, so get him checked out.0

It's simple...since he's been neutered he's realised he's no real 'use' to any lady dog anymore so he's just letting himself go - he's stopped brushing his teeth, he'll stop washing soon and then only change his underwear once a month....
Sorry i couldn't help myself - I'll go back to lurking now......0 -
Ha ha Kamperkat! Very funny!
He just seems more tired than normal but I have checked his teeth (whilst holding my nose)! and they seem ok - but I will have to take him to the vets just in case. !Total Quidco earnings - £547.98

Has he been wormed recently?
Reason being although I worm my dog every 3 months he was under the weather a couple of months ago and had Vile breathwhich he never normally has. I thought it might be worms, a couple of days after I gave him drontal he was back to his normal self and his breath was loads better - just back to the normal dog breath  now!!
