Thanks Guys, you all keep me going:A- it is a bit of a relief to have her home.
And hello dedicated DFW-
Have a natter anytime.
Been a bit of a pants day otherwiseThe washing machine broke *again* and i need to wash clothes for going away- so popped to Asda for a few essential things, like underwear...
I am also making a wedding cake for a friend- and unfortunately some little pesky mice have got into my cupboard and had themselves a party with one of the tiers- i couldn't risk it so binned the lot- including hand made rosesHours have gone into that and the wedding is in two weeks...:eek:_pale_ So next week after i get back from London, it will be baking up a storm time and i will have to buy the flowers- i just don't have time to make them now.
Do you know, i will be really glad when October is finished with:o I can't say that it has been great at all.
On a brighter note- we have had fittings for the bridesmaid dresses and they are gorgeous, i thought i was too old to be a bridesmaid but i love the dress and will be honoured to wear it..sometimes i can be a right girlie:D
Night all, will try and get some sleep now.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well thank goodness it is Friday
Pay from Job 1 has come in, with petrol expenses and a small tax rebateWhich definitely helps the cause.
I am off on trip tomorrow, so am busy packing and having to handwash one of my guiders tops...a pain, but needs must and all that.
That's about it really.
Have a good weekend everyone.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

If you have a problem with mice, keep old roses tins and quality street tins for storing baking in. If mice can get through the steel in those, you've bigger fish to fry...boredofbeingathome wrote: »Do you know, i will be really glad when October is finished with:o I can't say that it has been great at all.
No, it hasn't :grouphug:boredofbeingathome wrote: »On a brighter note- we have had fittings for the bridesmaid dresses and they are gorgeous, i thought i was too old to be a bridesmaid but i love the dress and will be honoured to wear it..sometimes i can be a right girlie:D

I do have quality street tins Z- for the purpose, however i can't get the largest base of the cake in it and i was feeding them with alcofrol..i hope those mice enjoyed it, because the next thing they will nibble will have poison in it
Blighters.

Just having post hol catch up! Fab to hear that DD home but so sorry to hear that the mice got the cake...not good and know how much these things take time to make but best chucked. Lakeland do a huge tupperware that would store large cake if that helps plus its special cake one so wont be an issue getting in out as its effectiely made upsidedown!
