Dont know if thats the right name for it (cuckoo spit)
but thats what we have always called it
can some one tell me if its harmfull to plants
and where it comes from
there seems to be a lot of it about this year

it is the bubbles surrounding a little insect larva you'll find..what we call (where I originate from) froghoppers...they are very good jumpers.
AFAIK the larva sucks the sap from the plant to make its bubbly protection.

Funny, I noticed this this morning when I was out having a bit of a tidy up in front garden. Mostly on the red valerian here so shall leave them be, something drastic needs doing to that before it takes over the village!Sometimes not moving backwards is as much an achievement as moving forwards is on other times.
