If you're thinking of selling your house in the next few years then be very careful with bamboo, some mortgage companies will refuse a mortgage if the property has a certain type of the stuff as it can damage the house.0

Does it make a difference how close to the building the plant is?
Or does it just have to be anywhere on the property to get yourself penalised?0 -
It's only the notorious Japanese Knotweed which could be problematic in a survey, not bamboo. Bamboo is a wonderful screening plant, with root barriers it poses no problems.
