    You're welcome.

Does your puss like fish? (silly question I know...) Because the tinlets at the top of the page are basically pure fish in jelly! Orbit could demolish a tin in seconds! (and get it everywhere too!:rotfl:)

Hi that's good to know as I ordered some of those too (he has a small amount of wet food for breakfast and tea, and a bowl of dry food to nibble at when he feels like it).

I was also going to suggest Feline Fayre as a treat, it's 60% fish in jelly and would be good to feed with dry. Or a lot of people say that they've fed fussy cats Bozita wet food and had good success with it, it's available online and it quite cheap but I think you can only get quite a lot of it in one go, Zooplus is a good website for it. It's very high in meat content, might be worth a shot? Also might be worth trying raw again, the first time I gave Pepsi a chicken wing she looked at me like I was a madwoman and left it on the floor, but the second time she crunched it right up and now she loves them :) Also prawns, a little bit of tuna in oil or pilchards in tomato or a little bit of cooked fish would be good for extra nutrients and things if she'll entertain them :)

I like Burns (dried) - it's cheap & although some think it's not the best - high rice content - it's got no rubbish in it. You could do alot worse

Re: wet - my two were fine on 99% dried until the Tom got urinary problems. What about supplementing with Feline Fayre tins or sachets - this is excellent stuff & CHEAP (asda mostly). Or tinned pilchards ocassionally?

Trust me after changing Ms Fussy to 100% dried she will bite your hand off when you produce any wet in the future!

Also if you are buy a b and m or home bargains they often sell feline fayre and hilife pouches for 19p, good, high meat content food. I believe feline fayre isn't complete but would go great with a good quality dry. If only mine would eat it lol.

Did you do anything differently the second time you tried raw? I've been trying mine and constantly getting looked at like I'm off my head lol. They didn't even touch the tune or prawns and looked quite terrified of the chicken wings lol.

Boxes of 8 FF pouches on offer loads of places - £1 each in Asda and Morrisons, or £1.09 a box in B&M at the mo, picked some up this morn :) Wilkinsons have got Hi-Life Essentials pouches at 4 for £1 in tuna or chicken, they're 70% meat and a complete meal too. Home Bargains and B&M both have the FF mini tins which I think you may be talking about, they're like shreds of chicken or pieces of fish in a clear jelly, 3 for 99p. Or a lot of cheapy shops like B&M, Home Bargains, Poundshops have got tins of FF or Hi-Life tuna for about £1 for 4/3 cans. My cat loves all of these so might be worth a shot, especially for a quid or less :)

Nope she was sat watching me prepare the chicken and meowing so I just dropped the wing on the floor, the first time she sniffed it and walked off and the second time she sniffed, then licked, then picked it up in her mouth, then started crunching away :) I think the first time she hadn't been with us for very long though and was used to eating nothing but pouches but the second time I'd been giving her lots of different food to try with a lot higher meat content than the Whiskas she was getting previously, so maybe this made her more receptive to the idea? She was the same with prawns, maybe it's the weird texture of fresh meat compared to processed food? She's always wolfed down tuna and pilchards etc. Also, I heard that cats don't like food straight from the fridge as it's too cold and doesn't smell very strong, whereas if it's at room temperature it has a more appetising meaty or fishy aroma to it.

It's amazing how fussy ex strays can be isn't it? How on earth they survived in the wild I don't know :)

I have a ex stray - last summer she just moved in and never left!

I have never known a fussier cat the only food i have found that she will eat is applaws chicken biscuits and occasionally one of the fish range tins! She will also devour raw chicken, lamb and beef - doesn't care much for turkey or pork though! (although she only gets them a few times a week).

I have have bought just about every brand of food (decent stuff non cereal etc) and each one has been ignored and uneaten! - our local cat shelter has done very well recently!

As far as i'm concerned as long as shes happy i'm happy, coincidently since she being on applaws and getting her new microchip catflap shes had no stress triggered UTI's since being on it and in the words of our vet 'is positively blooming and the perfect example of a healthy cat'.

Our ex-strays love the purely range - they are very very non-fussy! They get the dry biscuits for breakfast and either the fish tins or the pouches (chickeny) for dinner and they love all of it. Purely also do some super special trays with 90% meat too; we haven't tried them yet as they are more pricey but will be good for a treat.

They have also wolfed down a bit of beef heart for a treat, and also they loved chicken wings, althoughI think we are going to have to work up to bone crunching - I ended up having to strip the meat off myself as they got too frustrated trying to get the meat off with little success! I think their favourite treat so far is roast chicken though, when I gave them a few scraps as I was making a chicken salad, they literally meowed for more for 2 hours! (unsuccessfully, I might add, but you can't fault their determination...)

Pepsi is an ex-stray but I don't believe it was long term, maybe a few weeks. She isn't fussy about what she eats but won't touch it if it's been out in the open for too long. Mr Darcy, our other cat who we acquired just over a week ago was a stray and I believe he has been for a long time, he's still at the stage where he wolfs down anything I put in front of him and eats like it's the last food he'll ever see, bless him :( He's got plenty of time to start getting fussy once he realises we'll be giving him regular meals though!

We have the same problems with our boy. When we first got him he ate anything then our old dog died and he became the fussiest cat. He will only eat even the best wet food once or twice then refuses them.
We recently tried him on raw food, thinking he's got to love this, but again after a few shots he just goes off it. I dont know why he goes off raw food as he's forever eating the mice he finds.

We went round every brand from low to high price in the supermarket and he wasted most of the stuff. We then tried Lidl's food and he loved it, but only the non- gravy ones. Since found out that he prefers Aldi's ones as they are a pate type and has been eating them with no problems for about a year now.

Why cant cats just be like dogs and eat anything
