Hello
Hope someone can help. My girlfriend is looking for a new laptop to spend around 300-400.
She will be mostly using it for office work, internet, and itunes.
Any good deals out there at the moment?

Second vote for the L450 series.
Bought the kids one each for chrimbo just gone, dual core 64bit CPU, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 64bit OS (7 Home Premium), DVD-R Multidrive, HDMI out, yada, yada, yada...and obtained for £379 inc.
They have been dropped, trodden on, generally abused as kids have a tendancy to do, and they still work quite happily.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -

Saw this on ebay. Looks like the ones Tesco are doing for £340. Seems to come with Vista but I think the ones at Tesco are Windows 7. Feedback looks OK and it looks like they sell quite a lot of ex-display stock. There's some more of these L300's on Ebay a bit cheaper but they seem to be Celeron CPUs however the Celeron ones will be more than up to what she wants to do.

If she's not bothered about second hand, a Thinkpad T61 is a cracking machine, bombproof and you should be able to find someone selling them with some onsite warranty left.0 -
The MSI CR-610 is a feature packed possibility from Argos returns for £390. Even has a BluRay player or there is this Toshiba Satellite L500D-16L for £354. You could always try one and send it back if it doesn't suit.0

The Toshiba in my post is still selling for £500, here and here. At £354 it's good value.0 -
