I think you're too late Stuart - I suggest you keep checking the Dell website every few days as they update their offers a couple of times a month if not more often.

Sorry to double post but how long is it before they charge your card? Is it as soon as you place your order or is it once they despatch your order?

Normally they reserve funds on or just before sending you the pdf files and take funds on the day after delivery.
All Dell'd up ;) several times over :)

Thanks Mike. The reason I asked is because I made an order 1.5 weeks ago then phoned to cancel the next day which the woman said to me was done.

I called again the day after to confirm & another woman said the order had been cancelled.

They sent me an email confirming my order so I sent them an email back saying I had already cancelled. Someone called me on Monday asking why I wanted to cancel then said my order had been cancelled.

A computer turns up on Wednesday. I called them up & they said because it was a business order then I cannot cancel according to their t&c's.

But I already spoke to 3 other people who confirmed it was cancelled!!

I hope they do not charge my card, it is 2 days since delivery & things normally take 5 days to show up on my online statement.

I don't want to be stuck with a computer I don't want even thought 3 people said it was cancelled but their t&c's say I cannot cancel :(:(

I'm not sure how you would stand there really, if you ordered from the bussiness site then they may not adhere to the home site terms and conditions, though I guess you used just your personal credit card. Try talking to the CC company and see what they say.

If you pretend to be a bussiness to get better deals then one of the pitfalls is that it can bite you back.

If it was for one of the Dimension 3000 systems recently at £184, just keep it and sell it on to some mate, thats a lot less hassle than returning it I guess.

    Good luck! ;)

I called Nationwide to ask if there was an outstanding authorisation on my account & they said there wasn't. They said they can't stop the charge but they will dispute it for me if there are any problems.

It can't be right that 3 different Dell staff on 3 different days confirm that my order has been cancelled then they decide to charge me for it anyway!

    Thanks anyway Mike :)

I have received my computers, but they have not yet taken or even reserved the money from my card.

Thanks very much Googlies, not looking good for me then :(

At least Nationwide said they will help even without me asking for help, I just called them to ask if Dell had reserved the funds :)
