    Hi
If it's the latest episode of Desert Island Discs with Gyorgy Pauk then just download the mp3 podcast from this page here:-http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/did

Download the podcast and save the mp3 file?

If you're using iTunes, the podcasts are saved as mp3 files in the Podcasts folder within the iTunes Library folder. If you want, you can copy these files or the whole folder to save them elsewhere.

In the end I found a prog called Audacity which allows you to save as wav or MP3 format. Seems very neat, thank you all for helping!! I managed to save the programme with Dame Stephanie Shirley which was the one I was after and the podcast of that had been superceded. Audacity is brilliant, no fuss or complications!!

Also mentioned around MSE quite a bit is Nerdoftheherd's Radio Downloader. I just checked and 2 episodes appear to be available inc the Gyorgy Park one.
