Storage fees

My daughter having to sell her house since she has split up with her OH. They put the house on the market a few weeks ago and received an offer for the full asking price within a few days. She has only just found a new (cheaper) house.
Her estate agents are really putting pressure on her to move-it seems the purchaser is renting and wants to move in ASAP. The agents have suggested that she puts her furniture into store and rents somewhere herself until her purchase is completed.
I'm not happy about this-she is under enough stress as it is. However I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what the fees for storage facilities would be -the estate agents don't seem to know. She doesn't want to keep a lot of furniture just a sofa, bed, a few chairs , a cooker and washing machine.

I found when I put my things into storage, not everyone needs to visit your property to give you a quote.
I basically done a quick search on the net for storage (or storage and removals). The smaller family run firms ask the size of your house - ie, how many bedrooms, do you have white goods etc and can give you a rough idea by telephone.
The larger ones like Pickfords will usually want to visit your home before giving you any sort of quote, although they weren't pushy after they visited me and I went with the smaller family run one on the end anyway.
Not much help I'm afraid :rolleyes:Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
I've had loads of quotes for storage, and for my 3 bed bungalow with loads of kids toys etc, the average price is approx £50 a weekAlways on the hunt for a bargain0
