nice hotel between Stansted & Norwich

Anyone recommend somewhere nice to stay between Stansted Airport and Norwich?
I'm going to stay with friends for a few days not far from Norwich and meeting OH off a plane at Stansted. Would like somewhere nice for some couple time - happy with a Premier Inn (although would prefer to have a bath - I'll have had a very tough week and will be in need of chilling out).

Can't recommend a specific hotel but here's a good starting point:

This is for Bury St Edmunds, which is fairly central between Standsted and Norwich, and this page also links to accommodation in Colchester and Ipswich if you were going to travel along the A12/A140. Includes guest reviews, which is always the best guide to the quality of accommodation, and info on attractions near each town/hotel.0
