I went to V Festival this weekend and had a really good time. What would have made it even better would have been the feeling that I wasn't being fleeced once inside. To get a running order you had to pay £10 for a programme and a lanyard with the times on. My GF has been on previous years and said that there used to be posters up with the timings on up. This year despite much searching nothing of the sort existed.
I was expecting to get fleeced on food etc but having paid for the ticket and then 'booking fee' it left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth....

You are not alone, as the BBC reported...

Plus, as a couch viewer rather than being there in the flesh, I felt let down by Channel 4's coverage. Too much waffle and flim-flam, not enough live music.DFW Nerd 0350 -
Unfortunatly festivals such as V and Glastonbury will never ever have to worry or take complaints seriously as they will never have tickets unsold. If they can get away with it they are going to. £7 for a burger is laughable but hey, people will pay it so why not.0

Yes I think you have a point there, burbs. Festivals are very big business now, and other big business industries have specific watchdogs like Ofwat and Ofcom.
Perhaps a watchdog body for festivals could be called Offyourhead.DFW Nerd 0350 -
Festivals and Concerts must be great for the organisers - get so much money in. People pay lots for a ticket then they have to buy stuff while they are there, be it souveniers or programmes or food.
Big rip off in my opinion! Their profit margins must be horrendous!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
Glastonbury do not charge for programmes. You get a free one, plus a lanyard as you enter the gates. And a freebie bag!0
