grandprix on wii iplayer?

Help me please techie folk, my husband is trying to steal my laptop every second sunday for three hours, to watch the grandprix on bbc iplayer. I just noticed you can get iplayer for the wii, so did all that...but then grandprix today is not showing on the wii iplayer, but it is on the online bbc iplayer.

I have a wee tiny netbook, so if it can be watched on the wii iplayer (with 32 inch tv) that would be preferable by him and me! Does anyone know if it is available on the wii iplayer?

I think its put up on Iplayer after its been broadcast on the tv

aye that was at 12.10 today and it does appear online at bbc iplayer, but on the wii iplayer, it isnt there. I am trying to find out if it is ever available on the wii iplayer or only via computer/internet...not games console/internet. Thanks.

It's appeared on the ps3 iplayer, so it should be available on the wii one. have you tried searching for it, rather than browsing? sometimes online it doesn't show up when you look under sport, but does if you search.

you can actually watch it LIVE oin bbc website rather than waiting for a bit to watch it on iplayer.

This is what I did this afternoon when OH was watching something else on the tv.

There's no such thing as the Wii iplayer. The iplayer is the BBC iplayer and is the same online, onthe PS3 or on the Wii. As Lilystar says, you just need to search for it.

okay....I KNOW its the bbc iplayer, I called it wii iplayer because i am talking about it on the wii. It still isnt there searching or otherwise, so I will presume it doesnt show on it. Thanks for the help.

There are two ways to watch BBC iPlayer on the Wii.

1. Using the dedicated iPlayer Channel which you can get from the Wii store and it installs as a channel on the main menu. I'm pretty sure this is free, but I also think this is the one that is NOT showing the LIVE grand prix.

2. You can use the Opera web browser and go the BBC iPlayer web page. You have to pay to get the Opera web browser though, but I think people are suggesting you can see the LVIE grand prix this way.

I'll try to remember to check for the next grand prix and see which one works.
