    Hi mrsdumplin,

Did you manage to get any support from CCCS, is everything ok, just wanting to make sure you keep posting as the support on here is fantastic even when the news is never so good.

Looking forward to hear how you got on, sorry if that seems nosey, but please accept loads of kind thoughts and wishes.

    Hi Jig,

Everythings fine, well as fine as it gets when your in this mess...

Currently in limbo.....CCCS didnt come up with anything decisive its a choice between a DMP or IVA...I've heard some bad things about IVA's so I'm just trying to gather the information. If its as I think and at the end of an IVA you have to remortgage and release equity to pay the balance of your debts off then I'm not sure I see the difference between that and a DMP. In the fact you still have to pay it all back.

I've raided my last cc and BT'd the available balance, theres no way we can survive if I'm made to wait my notice before I can return, hubbys salary will only cover the mortgage, food and his fuel. Worst case if I can go back sooner I can just pay it off.

I dont want to do anything concrete until my employer comes back to me for definate with my start date, my working pattern and fuel reimbursement arrangements. They have till Friday to write to me then they are in breach of the reglations..theres just to many ifs, whats, whys and maybes.....if they decided I can go back in a week and reimburse my fuel then I think some severe cutting back on our spending and we can get things back under control ourselves, if they decide I can go back in a week or so but doesnt reimburse my fuel then I think a DMP will be best, either CCCS or self managed.

I have made some enquiries, my mortgage may let me make a reduced payment for a while but need forms and payslips etc...my loan wont let me have a holiday only reduced payments, but RAC, the guy was fantastic, I pay monthly dd and realised I can get cover with my tesco clubcard vouchers but still had 3 months to run and at £10 a month its almost equilvalent to the yearly cost in vouchers....I asked if they could do anything for me and he halfed the payment for the next 3 months and said I should renew using the vouchers... Its somethimes the small things isnt it...

So other than just being Sooooo frustrated at work dragging out sorting things out.

Thanks for asking, it really is good to know there are people out there who understand what your going through

    Hi

Good to hear you are getting on with things, however it is frustrating when you are wainting on the actions of others to know what the next steps are.

I however am not very good at giving advice as I do not see myself as an expert, but rather someone who has gone through the mill and still going through it some weeks/months.

Others refer to the lightbulb moment (LBM) which I did have when I sat down and reviewed our bills and credits cards/loans, it wasn;t the amount of debt so much it was the interest we were paying when we were struggling to put half the amount aside for food shopping compared to the interest (if that makes sense?)

I vowed that I would do whatever it took to make sure I pay as little interest servicing debt as possible as it is dead money - better in my pocket than someone elses.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow and we do have the sunshine at the weekend to look forward to.
