The problem is that Every Little does not count when it comes to keeping their potential customers informed.
My local store (albeit 30 miles away) sold out within minutes and given recent experience, i'm inclined to think they only had 5!
They send an email inviting you to buy over the phone then proceed to leave you in a queue for an hour to be told their system is down and to call back. Many, many people repeated this fiasco several times in the last few days.
Quite simply, a phone message or website message must have been quite easy to arrange - they just couldnt be bothered.
Incidentally, if you complete the recently appearing 'register' link on their website, you get a message thanking for for registering for Pay as you Go, even if you register for Pay Monthly.
It isnt rocket science is it?0 -

I was going to say "fix" because I am not convinced it wil fix the issue but decided on fix.0 -
The great Tesco mushroom conspiracy
Keep you in the dark and feed you a bit of bull every now and again.
Got to admit its the first time i have tried to buy something and got absolutely no idea where i am in the chain of events.
Perhaps for those ten minutes on Saturday before they were all sold they sold them to people for £1000 each only to then to try and sell them later at half price and tell you what a bargain you are getting at 50% off
Don't know who's worse Tesco or DFS
Yes this sofa that is worth £200 we once sold at £800 somewhere and now we've reduced it just for you.
No no muppet ever paid £800 for it because they would not have found the so called store it was on sale for at the higher price.
I think it's getting to me slightly lol0 -
Ordered with Vodafone online just after 6am on Thursday. After 5 days of chasing up and literally no consistent information, I got a delivery today. It was a jiffy bag with a sim card inside. No phone and the dispatch note didn't include the phone either.
What are my rights here? 7 day cooling off period started already? Not looking like my phone will come until new stock arrives. Even then it's not too hopeful. Am i entitled to a refund, any form of compensation? My PAC is about to expire and I'm due to be sending my existing iPhone off to fund this one. If it doesn't go soon, I'll loose the guaranteed amount for that also.
Contacted Voda through all logical routes and really not interested. Relevant departments phones are down and they suggest I write to them. Sent several emails and nobody able/willing to help. Does this sound familiar?! Assistance please folks0 -

The "cooling off" period begins when you received what you paid for.
A SIM card isn't enough.
You can certainly cancel, if they try to fob you off with the sim then tell them to go f**k themselves (excuse my French.)
Either
A) Cancel
orSuck it up and wait.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.0 -
Again they can say what they like, you the customer have the law on your side though.
And again you are wrong. The consumer may have the law on their side, but the law does not give you a right to return anything.
The DSR IS NOT a blanket 7 days examination period on anything you buy. Some things are exempted.
The listed excemptions in the DSR are- for the provision of services, if the performance of the contract has begun with the consumer's consent before the end of the cancellation period and the supplier has provided the written confirmation and additional information (including information that the cancellation rights will end as soon as performance of the contract begins);
- for the supply of goods or services which are priced according to fluctuations in the financial market and cannot be controlled by the supplier;
- for the supply of goods which by means of their nature cannot be returned (e.g. personalised goods) or are likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly (e.g. dairy products);
- for the supply of audio or video recordings or computer software which were unsealed by the consumer;
- for the supply of newspapers, periodicals or magazines; or
- for gaming, betting or lottery services.
Yes it's a narrow definition but it's ont Three (and as someone said Vodafone) are using.0 -
No, it can't.
If they are trying to use that as a reason to deny DSR returns they're on a hiding to nothing.0 -

A phone is not "software"; a phone is "hardware". What DSR is saying here is that you can return a DVD player within 7 days of receiving it having "tried it out", but you cannot do the same with a DVD - Can you imagine what would happen then? "Oh, I watched the film but didn't like it so I want to return it".
If you want to return the phone, provided you can supply all the packaging and return it in its received condition, the provider has to accept it. They can try to wriggle out of it, but they have no chance.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move.The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -

This made me laugh, as I actually just bought a sofa for my back room from someone who bought it at full ticket price from DFS when there was no sale on. She sounded embarassed; I'd have thought it was pretty difficult to actually find a DFS without a sale on!
I'm after an iPhone 4, I'd like to say I'm going to wait...But let's face it, I'll have to wait as there is none!
3 or Tesco...both have shocking customer service, but good prices.0 -

I wouldnt touch vodafone with a bargepole, the whole customer facing side of the company is full of idiots who dont have a clue what is going on or are blatantly lieing, have a look at the 500mb desire thread on here
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2446159
or you could even try the vodafone eforum, however anything on there that doesnt leave vodafone smelling of roses is is locked/removed and the mods will completely ignore all questions unless they are attempting to sell something.
They have also moved the call centres overseas as well which is another nightmare.
12/24 months ago i'd have recommended them to anyone, now i wouldnt even recomend them to my worst enemy.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0
