Hi there my husband was awarded DLA to July 2010 and has been sent new form to complete as if it was a new claim. I thought I had read somewhere that when claim was due for renewal that a shorter version of form would be issued and he would not be required to complete a new application form.Glad of advice Thanks

As far as I know they are trialling shorter forms in some areas, but most are still using full forms.

The full form was required for my DS when his claim was renewed last year.0

My understanding is that the trial is in Greater Manchester, not the whole of the North West. Also, althouogh this isn't relevant to the OP, I think children's DLA is still renewed on the full length forms - I haven't seen anything about shortened forms for under 16s.0
