Windows XP keeps rebooting to Disk Check - HELP!

Hello All,
I'll try to keep this short and simple!
This morning, I upgraded to MS Office Home and Student 2007 on my old laptop. It has the necessary system requirements to run Office 2007.
First install failed with a 10007 error (I think) so I ran it again as a repair. All went as expected and seemed fine. I was asked to restart to finish installation and this is what I did.
Now here comes the problem...
XP boots up so far and then goes into the Disk Check function. Once done, it continues as normal. Often (but not always), it loads the desktop. However, before you can do anything with it, it reboots to the Disk Check again. It just keeps following this circle of behaviour!
I have F8'd the system and disabled the automatic reboot and now I just get the blue screen. Apart from the usual default text, it says this:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE9A82EA5, 0x00000000, 0x8052C1B2, 0x00000002)
It does this regardless of what mode I try to start the laptop in (Safe Mode etc.). All I want to do is get into winodws and either unistall Office 2007 or roll the system back!
Help!
Sean

A STOP 0x50 is usually something to do with a graphics driver problem. Have you updated this recently, or added a new graphics card? Try doing a 'Roll Back Driver' in Device Manager for your specific Display Adapter (if it will let you).
See if the command
FSUTIL DIRTY QUERY C:
run in a Command Prompt window tells you if your C: drive's 'dirty bit' is set.
Removing it might involve the usually very tedious
CHKDSK C: /F /V /R
command and a reboot.0
