LCD Monitor or LCD TV?

Hi folks - sorry if this sounds a bit lame, but whats the difference between and lcd monitor and an lcd tv?

I'm looking for a tv for our very small spare room, so was hoping to get lcd. All I need it for is to play on my PS2 and maybe watch the odd game of football when the missus is watching Ally McBeal downstairs!

After a quick look on the internet I've found that you can get a 19inch lcd monitor a lot cheaper than an lcd tv.... So if anyone knows, whats the difference?

an lcd monitor is for connecting to a computer. it is cheaper because
it just displays what is sent to it.

an lcd tv is for watching tv and connecting your games console to.
this is more expensive as it must do some tv signal decoding of some sort.

you can also get an lcd tv that will double up as a monitor. this is more expensive again as it has to do both.
