Are there any free progs out there that will let me copy a home made DVD?
The recording was made by someone else on a camera and editied to include a soundtrack, I have bought it and been advised that I can make copies if I want to.
It plays ok on my DVD player linked to my TV and using Cyberlink Power DVD player on my computer but wont play on Windows Media Player 11.

As Geoff said, simply burn the 'VIDEO_TS' folder to disc using IMGBURN and it should work fine:idea:0
