working tax credit

I help a friend fill out his tax credit form and normally he works 37 hrs a week and the appropiate authorities have been aware of this. However he has now been given a new contract whereby his hours of employ are now 33.5 hrs a week. Does anyone know whether this would make any difference to the amount of tax credit he receives.

I would try the entitledto.com wouldn't have thought it would change too much0

It does not affect the elements of WTC he is entitled to because he is still working over 30 hours. The only difference it will make is that presumably his employment income will decrease. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. He might be entitled to a little bit more taxcredit but it wouldnt lower the payment as he still works over the 30 hours. He needs to give his new yearly earnings and they will issue a new award0
