i did ask if i could choose my own supplier, they said i could, but initially they set up their choice of supplier, as they said that they have a relationship with southern electric and a process which makes it easier for them to call out repair men etc.
I can change my supplier AFTER they give me a supplier, but i think that is going to be really long winded, as you have to first tell them, or ask permission, its probably a long winded process, and then also at the end of tenancy you have to transfer back to thier choice of supplier i think.....
ill have words with the agent tmorow.
ive got too many concerns and issues, gonna write him a long email tonight expressing everything bothering me.0 -
They are talking complete nonsense to you. You do have to initially register with the current provider, once that is done you can then switch to whoever you want to (the switch will take around 4 weeks). And you do not have to transfer it back at the end of the tenancy-that is up to the incoming tenant. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
