New £800ish laptop advice

Hi,
I recently ordered a laptop ( https://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/nbsextra.html?NNB-411 ) from Novatech, however, due to supply issues I've now been waiting over 3 weeks, and still don't have a delivery date so I'm thinking about cancelling the order, - does anyone know whereabouts I could get a good deal on a similair/better spec laptop? My main requirements are that it can function as a replacement desktop, and has a 15.4" widescreen, I don't need a windows licence as I already have one from my previous (knackered) desktop. I would strongly prefer an intel based based machine. Thanks in advance for any replies!

  • Boy, thats a nice little laptop, Don't think you are going to find a T2500 Processor for under a grand in any shop. Are you sure its a genuine retailer.

Have you looked at Rock computers? They have a good range of laptops.

Yeah, Novatech have been going for ages and I've never had order problems before...

I've never heard of Rock before, but I've had a look and they do sell some nice stuff, - unfortunately they're a bit expensive for the sort of spec I'm looking for.

Have a look at their userforums: www.rockforum.co.uk, they are very friendly people who will be able to help you.

Also check out mobeus. They are also owned by Rock, and the products through mobeus can be cheaper.
