Mainly because she is crap with money and wants me to have complete control over it all to manage it.0

It's not an issue per se, but if you have a joint account already with someone with (possibly) a bad credit rating (I'm making a bit of an assumption here), then your credit rating is adversely affected. Opening a new joint account with your new partner might in turn drag her credit rating down too. I'd wait until you have the old joint account closed before you link all of your finances together.0
