How long should I wait?

Made a second offer on Monday. Told the EA, am not in a hurry that seller could wait to see whether they will have more viewings and or better offer. Have not heard anything yet, is this a good or bad sign? House has been on the market for two weeks. Thanks

The seller may take weeks in the hope a higher offer comes along, especially as the house hasn't been on the market long.
When making an offer I expect to know if it's been accepted within a day or so. Did have to wait a week for the good news with one purchase as the viewers were hoping a higher offer would be received the following weekend when another viewer was going to see the place.
If you really want to secure a property soon then I think you need to change the way you are going about things. You need to be more definite about wanting a property & not be happy about being left hanging like this. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Hubby thinks, it has been over valued and we could afford to look elsewhere. Similar houses in that street with big conservatory are selling for 299+K. Sellers are emigrating in two month's time. I did tell EA, I could wait until the August bank holiday. We are in a very strong postion, cash buyer, no chain, flexible and will fit with their travelling arrangements and will buy stuffs they want to get rid off. I think, they are hanging on hoping they will have a better offer. The house is on the market for 304.95k, my offer is for 297k, when I spoke to the EA, they had four viewings and no offers. Although the house is in an ideal location, I can afford to wait until something else comes. Thanks0
