Has anyone had a Spanish or other language version of Windows XP and made it change to English. It is home edition. Have looked for language packs.
Thanks

Just go into the control panel and change the region and language settings as desired. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Sorry, what I mean is for the actual menus to be in English they are currently in Spanish. The previous solutions will not do that, they will help with currencies and mapping the keyboard. My understanding is it needs a language pack.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Think you need the professional(?) edition to change the language if I'm not mistaken?0

Mmm...that's a tricky one. I had a similar problem trying to get English XP working in dual English/Italian language. It is possible in XP Pro and I did get it to work with that, but I don't think Home can do it.
You might get away with re-installing using an English XP Home CD using the license from the sticker on the machine, but it'll be a bit questionable whether it would accept it.0 -
Have a look at vistalizator

I've used it to change a friend's French vista to English, and it says it now works on windows 7 as well.
You download the official microsoft language packs as well as the Vistalizator program, and there are a lot of languages available.0 -
I think you guys are right. It can't be done in Home edition. I could install XP Pro, problem is will it run on the same netbook. Was home edition put on there because xp pro is too powerful for it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
