Anyone done the future job fund?

I have been fast tracked onto the future job fund and i had a first appointment explaining what it involves but the guy went through it so fast and explained some other schemes as well that i barely had time to remember anything, they dont even give you any leaflets out because its a bit confidential.
Anyway at my first appointment he said i could do the future job fund and will have to come back to see him again after a few weeks because its a long process, i think i have to fill in an application form and then the company will decide who to take on after going through the different application forms.
Anyone actually done all this? i thought i would get onto it straight away because the government is paying you not the companies themselves
