Do CTC count as income for SL repayments?

I mean for the pre-1998 loans. My income is borderline, my Child Benefit is paid to husband, so I assume I don't need to include this as MY income. CTC currently in the process of being transferred to him as well, but will this still count as MY income as it's a joint claim? The Tax Credit website just says the couple need to decide who is the 'main carer' and then the money will be paid to them. This would now mean my husband.
Anybody know if I need to include it as MY income?

I thought it was based on your salary, CTC is not to repay student loans, I dont see how they can take it into account really as you could be out of work and claiming CTC at a large amount if you had a few children, if you are not in work then those children leave home and you no longer get CTC they would get nothing
I cant see Student loans taking money off people's tax credits then there would be an outcry, fair enough asking people how much their income is to decide who gets what but you cant feasibly take CTC as a vehicle to repay a loan or a lot of people would be taking out credit and adding that as an income0 -
Thanks for that. It seems weird, but on the form you fill in to defer, it asks for all benefits received, and it includes Child Benefit and WTC/CTC on there as benefits counting towards income. I was surprised too, and it is why I'd like to transfer those payments to my OH if it will mean SLC can't take them into account as my income.0
