Moral Dilemma, do I spend the Clubcard vouchers or not?

I currently am in dispute with Tesco about some hairdye.

The sale of goods act says if I have an issue with something I bought then my whole claim is against the retailler who sold it to me, however Tesco swear my issue is with the manufacturer L'Oreal and are trying to pass the buck... They're wrong, I have no legal right to claim against L'Oreal (who will also know this) and I don't intend to give up easilly. I've been getting great advice about that from consumerdirect.gov.uk - try them if you need similar advice.

So I decided I would also like to boycott Tesco until this claim is resolved. I haven't written to them to say so or anything but I am just not going there at all. As I usually use a Clubcard on every shop and usually shop in small quantities 2-3 times a week they will notice my absence I expect.

But my Clubcard vouchers came today and they're worth £9.

In all honesty my finaces are dire, I need that £9 of free food, but I don't want to break my boycott of their shops. As your clubcard number is printed on your voucher and you have to hand over your clubcard to spend the voucher anyhow there isn't a way to get my moneys worth without being seen to use Tesco... And I stubbornly don't want to, they are messing me about on purpose because they hope I'll just go away and forget my rights and I object to this!

So do you think I should:-
A. Chuck the vouchers away and forget I ever had any.
B. Spend them anyway.
C. Something else.

What would you do? Every opinion welcome.

My vote is spend them but only up to the £9 value and no more or as close as you can get, or cash them in for one of the deals.

I'm not certain of my facts here at all, but didn't asda used to accept these? maybe ring your local store to ask?

Or just get £9 worth of stuff and that is it. If they are for any reason monitoring your spending this would send the message just as well as not spending anything at all.

I would spend them. You don't get points for nothing, the cost is added onto the price of things Tesco sell. So in fact, you are just using money you have already given to Tesco in the past.

If you don't spend them, then Tesco have had your money and are not giving you anything back in return. They will be winning in this case!

Change them into Pizza Express or other restaurant vouchers so they are worth 4 times their face value, and have a nice meal courtesy of Mr T

Sar, don't spend in store. Only worth face value that way. Use for double-up for clothing or baby things or on deals for 4times face value. Check it out on tesco's website. Boycott them for spending money, but never bin them!

Convert them to deals and spend them elsewhere.

You may as well spend them, I doubt for one moment that Tescos will be checking your boycot.
