What teats are compatible with Avent baby bottles?

Hello, I am pregnant with #2 and I have just bought some Avent bottles (I used these with #1 so know they are reliable). However, the teats are soooo expensive and I was wondering if anyone can recommend any cheaper brand teats that are compatible with Avent bottles?

I'm quite sure that Avent are wide neck bottles. You only get two kinds of bottle - wide neck and regular (narrow). Any brand of wide neck teat will do - I'm sure one of the supermarket's own brands will fit perfectly.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Avent bottle can be used with other wideneck teats but about 99% of them will leak, teat collapse or just be plain useless.

I have tried to find ones that fit properly but due to avent design of their teat its hard.

Your baby might not take to avent so i wouldnt rush out and buy all you can at the moment.

Can you give me a link to the website (if there is one) as I have never heard of bodycare. If I can find a store near me I will go and check out the mothercare teats. I tried the Boots ones with my last baby and although they fit, I found they leaked a lot.

No advice but the price of teats is ridiculous isnt it!

I use tommee tippee anti colic plus bottles and its £3.50 for a pack of 2, I have 6 bottles, they come with sizw 1's but as E has special milk which is thicker he needs size 2's so I had to buy 6 of them and will have to buy the next step up as well

Confused they dont have a website they are on most high streets though big black signs with white writing. As for the leakage it could just be the bottles avent have a bit of a reputation for leaking i myself have suffered with it many times the new bottles come with a special seal inserted into the top prevent the problem but im not buying new bottles these are only 8 months old :-(

    ghandi -

I've already emailed them about this but not sure how helpful they would be about advising me which of their competitors teats fits their bottles better than their own ones.
