Gas oven will light but not heat up

I have an old Parkinson Cowan Module 4 P200 gas oven. The oven has needed to be lit by a match for 2 years or more but now although it will light, the flame doesn't "fire up" so it never gets up to temperature. The grill and hobs work fine.
Anyone any ideas what it could be?
