Carphone Warehouse....

I have earlier today watched a programme on iPlayer about a problem someone had with Carphone Warehouse when his mobile was stolen abroad.
The guy's bill was usuall £5 a month but after it was stolen even though he reported his handset he ended up with a bill of £3,333.
Carphone Warehouse and O2 were nothing but unhelpful, unsympathetic and obstructive. The very fact they didn't speak to the media about the problem speaks volumes.
Having seen this I would never ever use this band of shysters if they treat people like this.
Anyway since when was a Mobile Phone was called a "Carphone"? This is so Passe. 1991!
The programme is called Don't Get Done Get Dom.

The only O2 I would ever willingly have dealings with is the type that you breathe in.
But, the Carphone Warehouse is a very old company, from back in the days when they were called Carphones, so they can't be criticised for keeping the same name.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
At the end of the programme Dom handed the guy a cheque for over £3000 - who paid the bill? Carphone Warehouse, O2 or Dom?
It made me think about finding out how to password the sim on my phone (just in case)
now, where did I put those instructions ............0 -
Carphone Warehouse wiped the slate clean.......... I know the lad concerned.0

I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to use Carphone Shithouse, they are woeful.
I took my Samsung I8510 to my local one when the keys became inoperative, they sent it away to be repaired TWICE and it came back in exactly the same state.
I wrote them a nice letter asking who does their repairs Stevie Wonder or David Blunkett, eventually after getting nowere I sent it directly to Samsung who sorted in within a week.
To summarise - don't use Carphone Warehouse. They are crap. :T0 -

There you go karatedragon - all it takes is a little mocking of the disabled, and things work out well in the end.0 -

Except it didn't. Samsung rectified the problem not Carphone Warehouse.0 -
I bought a 'super tough' phone in mid February.By the beginning of April it was obviously faulty so I took it into the 'accredited repairer' Carphone Warehouse. The mess since has been surreal-it was beyond repair/being repaired/back at the shop/in transit etc. Eventually I tracked the phone they couldn't repair to the shop I took it into. The ticket said no fault found , although the notes on the shop's database said there were no parts available and it couldn't be repaired.
I queried this and the shop manager was extremely ab usive. He actually came out from behind the counter to threaten me ( or attempt to) I did point out that attempting to intimidate little old ladies wasn't good customer relations. I work with agressive teenagers so I'm used to in your face behaviour but didn 't expect it at a major High Street retailer
Never going there again
