Cost of tiling my bathroom

I know there are several other threads like this one but many of them are years out of date.
I want to have my bathroom re-fitted and re-tiled. It's approx 14 square meters if I tile the shower area fully and then the rest of the room halfway around. If I tile from top to bottom all over it's around 18 square meters. These are the quantities of tiles I have been advised that I need so there is a little extra built in there for cuts. I also want the floor tiled and require 2.5 square meters of tiles for this.
I should also add that there is a bit of finicky work required such as tiling a bulkhead for the stairs and tiling some boxing around pipework.
I've been quoted as follows:
Shower area in full and halfway round the rest of the room: £350
OR
Shower area in full and top to bottom everywhere else: £600
AND
Flooring: £200
The price of £350 doesn't seem too bad, although I'm unsure why doing another 4 square meters and going all the way to the ceiling is costing so much extra.
I should point out that these prices include adhesive, grout and the plywood required to make the floor stable for tiling.
I know prices vary from one tiler to another and will vary a lot across the country (I'm in the midlands) but I wanted to see if I'm in the right ballpark.
I did get a quote from someone else who was a bit more vague about things but quoted £600 for the whole thing. Is it unrealistic to get it done for any less?
Many thanks for your advice,

If you are not sure about the prices being quoted then get another one or two and see how they compare.0

you would be looking around £18-25 per sq m to tile, this would allow for the finicky work and cuts etc and you supplying all materials.0

Recently had my bathroom done, chap charged £200 a day. I had a wet room so quite a lot of tiling, chap charged £200 a day. Tiling took 2 days from start to finnish, included grount and adhesive and sealant as travertine tiles and mosaics.0
