Hi all, i've been on the forums for a few years but can't get into my flamin account at all these days!
Anyhoo we're getting a pup this week (hopefully) and have been searching everywhere for a pet gate / guard with a cat flap in. I've seen plenty in the US with astronomical shipping cos of the weight of the things, and can only find crazy extra tall ones in the UK. Does anyone know of a place that does them or has anyone got any other ideas of what we could put there instead? It's gonna seperate our cats food and general area from the pup's basically.
Thanks for any help!
Jem

It looks really big from the picture, but it isn't really, it's about three foot four inches high. It'll cope with the pup when he's a dog. I have one without the cat flap, they are well made.0 -
Get a baby gate from freecycle for when the pup is small otherwise the puppy will fit through the catflap and use that. Use cable ties to attach wire mesh to the bottom to bar the puppy's way through the bars. The cat will be able to jump over the gate.
Then when the puppy is bigger you may want to spend the money for one with a catflap, but I think you'll find the cat will fit through the bars of the gate no problem once the mesh is removed. Ours certainly did.;)
hope this helps.:money:Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I love that picture! The dog is looking so sulky wondering why the cat is allowed through and he isn't.0 -

Thanks all for your replies, I think getting a general gate with the mesh for now might be the best option thanks ailuro2; went to see my new pup today (picking her up on saturday-eeeek!) and she's way smaller than I remember pups being (it's been 17 years since we've had a pup lol), so don't think she'll be a much of bother to the cat who is a giant in comparison at the moment lol.I can't get into my old JemJam account - annoying times!!
