Looking at old trades on eBay

is there a way via advanced search to see items sold over a longer period than it usually gives you? It seems to possible to see completed listings going back about a month or so, but what if you wanted to look back a year or so, is that possible?

The only way I can see is through someones feedback..that will allow you to go back 3 months.

Have you ever seen someone buy an item in their feedback, then sell that same item later? I have been trawling thru seller's stuff for instances of that, cos i am doing some research into some comics that seem to be worth trading etc, and want to sell ones i have bought recently. Looks like I'll have to wait three months til the items i bought grey out before i sell them...

Some people have more than 1 username. So you can buy with one, and sell with another ...

I might do that. (could also be used for counter bidding against items you are selling, but of course that would be illegal ;-) )

I have bought items and resold later at a profit, but I do usually use different ids.

As for shill bidder, don't even suggest it in jest. There are dedicated shill busters, some on here who will go all out to spoil auctions where shill bidding is prevalent.
