Travel Expenses For Going To Sign On

Hi can anyone tell me if you can still get travel money when you go to sign on.The last time I claimed JSA 10 years ago the staff would ask how you had travelled there to sign on and you would get a cash payment dependent on the type of travel used.

I did and they said you don't get money for that.But other people reckon you get bus/train fair, per mile payment for car use.Any one the current policy ?0

You wont get any travel expense, But you can claim travel back when you go for a return to work interview or if you are called into the jobcentre at anytime other than your normal signing on day.0

Tell me about it.The lady sorting out my claim said I would be better off working then going on the dole(REALLY),That I should be getting redundancy pay after 14 months in last job and with out a redundancy letter my claim would be in limbo P45 not good enough.Same old same old don't know don't ask don't get
