..........for a pot in the shade. I have an oblong trough type thing that is 18in by 12". I've got a book of plants for shade, but have no idea how big half of these things grow.
I want plants that can stay and look interesting all year round without too much faffing around or things taking over the world.
So far I have a brunnera. And possibly a hosta. And that's it.
Any other suggestions folks?

In my shady spot I have a harts tongue fern, hosta, primula, forget me not and epimedium all doing well in the shade. If you have a look at BBC Plant Finder http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plant_finder/ it allows you to search a huge database and allows you to search loads of options like light requirements, soil, hardiness etc.
Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!
