Lost Education Record - Scotland

A recent redundancy scare left me thinking about what I would do if it happened to me....
I have been with the same IT company for 10 years starting at the bottom working my way up to management and earn a good wage. When looking at what else is out there many places look at degree and I only have an HND (and even that was as a mature student)
I am now the wrong side of 40 and am looking at OU to get those letters after my name and have hit a little problem - with my HND I believe I can get credits but I do not have my certificates (when I left my bully ex many years ago I left with a bag of clothes)
Any idea how I can get the confirmation of my academic achievement - I studied in Edinburgh?
... it is kind of moneysaving as could help me miss a few units :rotfl:
thanks

Depending on how long ago you did your HND the college you did it should still have a record of you and what you achieved. They're the best place to start looking. My husband lost his degree certificate a few years ago so for his birthday last year I contacted his old university (or rather the university his merged into) and got a copy, cost £10.0
