my post is being tampered with

For about a month now Ive had things not arrive in the post and on 3 occassions had cards left to say there was a parcel for me then when I went to collect it said there was nothing there. Anyway 2 weeks ago I started to get letters through the post opened and cellotaped up and always thinks like bank statements, card statements, tax credits awards never the junk mail! Today I had a bank statement pushed through the door actually opened and not taped down.

Ive reported it to royal mail but they assured me they would get backto me in 48 hours and this was Monday I rang them!

If it were me, I'd be taking a big bundle of it down to the sorting office and speaking to someone face to face.

My dh popped in their last week and all they said was they didnt know what was happening

I would contact Royal Mail customer services requesting details of how to contact their security team and report it direct to them. You never know who your speaking to at the sorting office, if there is something dodgy going on you may be talking to that actual person or friend of etc.

Most problems like this either involve joint occupancy houses or thieves at the sorting office. Get in touch with Royal Mail security at once. Consider reporting it to the Police as well (although they may do very little, it covers your behind for later on).
