Help needed please I.m hoping to purchase a television this weekend. It is a Sony K D L37EX403 which is a 50hz .Is there much differance between a 50hz or 100 I only watch television for basic needs no gaming or motor sports you help would be greatly apprieciated Thank You Pearl

    Only your own eyes will tell if you can see any difference.

    But FWIW I've just had to make the same decision, and I chose a 50Hz model. I based this on a visit to Comet where I spent perhaps an hour comparing different models. I came to the conclusion that on a 32" or 37" screen size, I could not detect any difference, irrespective of the material (SD or HD, static images or live sport).

    I also could not tell apart "HD ready" and "full HD" at sensible viewing distances - though I did pay a bit extra for the latter anyway.

    All televisions display the actual image at 50 Hz, if they went any faster then you'd end up with a 1 hour programme lasting 6 minutes.

    Seems to tick all the boxes WiFi, 1080p, Freeview HD tuner.

    Should work well with an HD source.
