Had a great time there in 1981, not much help to you now though.

Had to collect my luggage straight from the trolley as there was no arrivals lounge just a "shed"

drove there for a day few years back, very popular especially with the young crowd, lots of taverna's, good beach, you'll have a good time, if you can go to kos town, we stayed there & it's fab, fantastic beach, harbour, ruins etc

    HI

Your lucky day i have just returned from there on saturday
myself sister her boyfriend and three kids age 2 12 and 16

we had two room in the 901 902 block nice and quiet you get double bed and we had two single bed in a seperate area of the room so nice and private
ask for a room like that if you can if you want seperate bedroom from kids

my sister had double bed and single bed all in one room buty they were two adult and one baby i had my son and neice in with me so that why we had triple room

there are actually 3 swimming pools in the the hotel they have bought another hotel with a pool next door that you can use as well there is also a big quite pool with a bar /snack bar near the ampitheater and the main activity pool there is a snack bar as well plus main resturant and there is another bar
there are more bars that i saw that were not open but hotel was not full as i went the week before half term

hotel is immaculate entertainment team are fab resturant manager is the most misrable !!!!!!! in the world dont take my word for it he make basil faulty look good

food is really good for an all inclusive drinks are good cos the soft drinks dispensers and water are on the outside of the bar so you dont have to queue for drinks
ltos of sunbed and shade as well

If you are in the 900 block you can bounce of free wifi ( bridge hotel)
You can hire bike 5 euros and ride into kardemena really nice flat ride very littel traffic
you can walk as well takes about 35 mins or so
hotel bus is free though and good

Kardemena is expensive to eat out in but nice resturant called manos by the rock bar ( with free sundbeds ect) the owner is lovely most of the resturants seemed to be empty lots of empty shops and buildings in kardemena but its ok not much night life but toi be fair it is start of the season

cheap things to buy in kardemena is sunglass and flipflops at 5 -10 euros

hotel shop is very very expensive 15 euros for sunglasses ect

btw you have to pay deposit for air condition 50 euros and 10 euros deposit for tv remote
and 10 euros deposit for towels so take your own
internet is 4 euros per hour
the have wifi which is 7 euros for 2 hours but we bounced off the free wifi in our room
its only a 20 -30 mins transfer from airport
oh and they charge 11pounds per killo if you are overweight and they do enforce this at the airport so do be carefull

hope that helps have a good time weather was fab

I guess it depends on what you like.

I have been to Kos though not Kardamena.

I did visit it though and it wasnt really my thing. Think typical Engerrllanddd location full of tatty bars, pictures of your dinner outside restaurants and loads of teens and older lads/girls getting lashed.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • Not stayed in Kardemena either but have been to Kos and liked it.

As previous post says, visit Kos Town it's well worth it and if you're interested in sightseeing Kos Town has an interesting castle, Hippocrates plane tree and the Asceplion (not sure i spelt that right) which is well worth a visit - a cafe owner in Kos town told us, 'if you haven't seen the Asceplion you haven't visited Kos'. There is a road train from Kos town - costs about 5 euros i think.

Would also recommend Nissyros - island with a volcano, we went on a boat trip from Kos town, but i understand there are fairly regular boats from Kardamena. Just don't don't do what my partner did and poke smouldering rocks with your foot!
