Virtual PC with XP Pro - Using USB Devices

Options
One for those who may know.

Win XP Pro installed in Virtual PC, XP working and booting up pretty much ok. The plan was to use a USB DECT phone on the Virtual PC to contact the outside world

The phone software only works with Win 7 (32bit), Win Vista, Win XP, the computer i have is Win 7 (64bit).

The idea came across as i was about to spend £50 to replace the phone.

The problem,

When i plug the phone into the computer, the usb bridge is seen in Win 7, and i can see it in Win XP. When i click attatch to Virtual PC, the USB device is seen, but after about 20 secs the USB disconnect sound is heard. Whilst monitoring the Device manager in Win 7, you can notice the USB Bridge being the problem, and Device Manager is refreshing. This is the noise, and the reason i cant see / use it correctly in Virtual PC.

Im really stuck now, as this is a personal thing, and no internet guide helps me.

Regards,

Alias

Try Virtualbox. It's free for personal use.
