Would anyone recommend Google Chrome?

Besides the speed of Google Chrome in its lean form, you may want to consider the privacy aspects of using that browser.
Chrome monitors the websites you visit for suggesting alternatives to you, and may also collect limited information about you for statistical purposes.
Some people consider this as spying on them, and if you are not keen on this, use SRWare Iron, which is based on Google Chrome, but does not send any browsing history or personal information to Google.0 -
I love Google Chrome.
It has recently introduced extentions (if you download the beta version 4.0)
and the most useful one IMO is the IE Tab one. It opens up the tab you're currently on in another tab, but one that works the same as if you had opened it in Internet Explorer. It helps me when I'm on a website that doesn't work quite right in Chrome.

I like Chrome because of its speed and the fact that it never asks me to update my add-ons constantly, which had been a great bugbear in Firefox.0 -
I switched from IE to Chrome a couple weeks ago and there is a huge difference in speed. I have to switch back for certain websites that don't seem to work right with chrome though
I find chrome doesnt work well on MSE
Keep getting error 400 bad command especially when using user CP, when then i cant get on for hours.
V annoying. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I use chrome sometimes (Though since my clean install of windows 7, ive not actually installed it yet)
But personally I use FIREFOX with the NOSCRIPT plugin. If you visit an infected webpage in internet explorer and your av software doesnt know it then youll be infected (many MANY people are getting this problem these days). NOSCRIPT stops it in its tracks
How safe chrome is id love to know, but my days of testing security are over
Yeah firefox is slower than chrome, but give me piece of mind over speed anyday:idea:0 -
I'd certainly recommend Chrome, and so would pretty much everyone that works in our office. It looks and acts very differently.
The best bit (apart from the speed)? Typing your Google search directly into the address bar.0 -

No different from Opera in this respect. Been doing that for years.0 -
Used it here since it was launched, pretty quick but then that also compares to how fast your internet connection is.
I like how it stores your user id's and passwords for certain website.
I know Firefox does it too, so I am told but never used that one!
That's actually a really poor element of Chrome - no master password option.0
