I'm trying to log my works laptop into my Virgin wireless broadband for the first time. Its asking for a network key. Is this always the same and if so does anyone know it? My own notepad works fine but I can't remember the key I used.
Thanks
Thanks

no it will be whatever password you setup yourself on your wireless network, if it was the same for everyone everyone would be able to access anyone else's wireless network and hog all your bandwidth.
you need to log on to the router and change it, then put the new password into both machines when asked for it0 -
If you havn't changed it from the original you will find it on the label underneath your router.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0

Thanks, no joy. Its asking for 128 or 256 bits to be entered as 8 to 63 characters. That's beyond me!0

if you connect the laptop to the router via a network cable (should have come with the router) you can connect,
you can also find the wireless password through the router page to do this:
1) connect laptop to router via ethernet(network cable)
2) click start then click run then cmd
3) type ip config
4) you should see 2 numbers one will be the address of your router and one will be your address
router address is usually like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 maybe 192.168.1.254 and your address is usually 192.168.1.64/65 etc.
5) type the router number in your browser as you would https://www.google.com
6) go to wireless settings on the page that comes up should show you the password so you can connect wirelessly.0 -

Thanks again.
Go to www.routerlogin.net in your browser. Username is admin, and password is password.
Click on security settings, and choose a new password there. Make it something memorable to you, but complex. I have the first line of a song as mine.
Easy as that.0
