  • Hand her a tray of edible seedlings and tell her the plants are flowers, or have her plant some companion plants such as marigolds for you, or extend the veg plot?

My error was asking him indoors what he would like in the garden as the answer was a flowering arbour and a water feature.

She's not that dumb. I did extend the veg plot a put a 30 foot polytunnel on it. It's 1/3 full of dahlias!!! I came home from work and there they were. I had not even put a tomato in.
