Sell Your Home For Free!!

Great spot courtesy of my beloved in Yesterdays Sun Newspaper page 3 in the cash bit.

" Sell your home for £20

A new website is giving home sellers a chance to save thousands of pounds in EA fees.Cut the middleman will cost you just £20 per month with a maximum charge of 120 to register it until it is sold.
The service will be free to to anyone using the site until the 17th October

Helen Probert, creator says" A 300k property sold through an EA could set you back 4500 simply due to the 1.5% commission" It only takes a few minutes to register with https://www.cutthemiddleman.co.uk to view a home simply click on the propertythat interests them anbd call up a page of information. You see colour photos with descriptions of each room, complete with dimensions OUtside space is also described.

Helen added the property market is so expensive cut the middleman can actually help peopole yo be able to afford properties that they may not be able to buy if they were using an estate agent to sell thier home"

Incidentally, this has been featured on London tonight ( i think) and Im sure Ive heard a radio advert as well for them. http://www.cutthemiddleman.co.uk/pricing.php thats the pricing structure

Just thought Id give the MSE community a heads up! :money:
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Yay thanks Lyn, I just listed my house. And I dropped the price to reflect the savings on fees. Everyone's a winner if it sells this way.

I have stuck the EA ones on for now, I will take some this weekend (when I dig out the cable for the camera, it's in a box somewhere) Then I will change them all. After yesterday's mystery shop I couldn't care less if they don't like me using their pictures, I am somewhat irritated with my EA right now.

As the website is free it's certainly worth the little bit of time to advertise, especially as it's having a bit of media coverage.

The problem is that most buyers still use the traditional method of buying through estate agents.

Whenever I see a house for sale privately, I always question how the vendor decided on the asking price.
