    Afternoon.

Kayleigh, do you know anyone with a satnav you could borrow?

Elfen, have you read the Alan Carr book about how to stop smoking?

Well, I'm feeling a bit better today. Going to go into town and do some OU work in a bit.

    Elfen,

I got one of those e-cig's to help me stop smoking. I've had it for ages, from the last time I tried to quit, and it worked really well for me. I just decided "I don't want to smoke anymore" on May 7th and switched to my e-cig. I went from about 20 a day to none within 2 days, and have only used the e-cig about 3 times since. Although I've not actually used it much, I always keep it with me just in case, as if I get the craving, I can have a puff or two on that and not feel the need to finish a whole cigarette just because I started it :)

Edit: P.S. the reason I started smoking again after using the e-cig before was because I went to stay with people who all smoke and forgot to take it with me! I discovered it can only work against the cravings if it's there to suck on and not on the side at home 200 miles away! That's why I keep it with me now, it's my safety blanket lol :D

A,mes I have, but it did nothing! d3mon, I've got the patches and the inhalators....but I know some of the time I'll suck on the empty inhalator instead of putting stuff in

I think with smoking you've got to want to quit. It's pointless trying because you 'should' or because someone else wants you to. With me, I literally just woke up and thought I don't want another one and haven't had one since. I think it also helps to have something to play with / suck on as it's the physical habit that's just as hard to break as the nicotine craving. I've not tried the patches or the inhalator to be fair, though I've spoke to a few people who've said they didn't really help much.

But I'd like to say Good Luck! with quitting - you'll get there soon when you are ready :D

    No, I WANT to quit.

It costs too much (I could save £150 a month) I stink and it's affecting my asthma...My smoke -free day is 30th May (Sunday) and my target in my DFW Diary is to be smoke-free for a month.

I've also converted my friend to moneysaving :)
